CONSULTS

 

Consults are always encouraged along with a visit to view facility.

Consults are a chance to meet me and for me to meet owners and especially the pet(s). To go over your pets care, medication, routines, etc. Consults are NO CHARGE. If I am caring for your pet in your home, a key will be picked up at the consult.

 

SCHEDULING OF SERVICES

 

Please provide all dates, time of drop off and time of pick up, so I may appropriately calculate charges. If I am coming to your home, please indicate how many visits will be required and which other services you may need. Mail service and light service re included. Also, please provide the number of pets and their name(s), age, and sex.

 

INFORMATION

 

Please provide all requested information, such as name, address, phone number, email, emergency contact, where you will be staying, veterinary info, amount you want to spend in case of emergency, authorization for treatment should it be necessary. All necessary forms will need to be read, signed and returned prior to stay.

 

VACCINES

 

Must have current rabies vaccination and provide me with a copy of certificate showing expiration date. NO EXCEPTIONS

 

PARASITES

 

Please make sure your pet is parasite free. Parasites are microscopic worms otherwise known as hookworm, tapeworm, whipworm, roundworm or coccidia, which live in the pets intestinal tract and are contagious to other animals. Although your pet will not be in the company of other animals, however he/she will be using the same back and side yard to eliminate, as well as my dogs and other boarding animals. Certain parasites can burrow into the grass and dirt and re-infect another animal just be sniffing the ground.

 

DIET

 

Please provide all necessary information regarding feeding, i.e. times of day, amount and any special instructions. Your pet will only be given what is supplied by the owner. Please refrain from any dietary changes, new treats or chewing items for at least one week prior to scheduled visit as these can cause intestinal problems, diarrhea or vomiting. Your pet will be stressed out from the new environment. Please send enough food and treats for the length of stay.

 

FLEA AND TICK

 

Your pet is required to be on some type of flea and tick preventative. Topical, oral medication, Seresto collar, etc. I do not want my pets or other pets to get fleas during their stay. Please check your pet thoroughly with a flea comb. If fleas or ticks are found on pet, I will treat with topical treatment and the cost  will be passed onto the pet owner.

 

MEDICATIONS

 

Oral medication is included, injections are an additional fee. Owner is responsible for providing medication and any instructions.

HEALTH INFORMATION

 

Please provide any information regarding health issues i.e. occasional limping, history of ear problems, intestinal problems, skin issues, allergies, lumps or bumps, incontinence, females in heat or any little quirks. Even if problem is currently not an issue. It is suggested that you notify your veterinarian when you will be on vacation and give pet sitters name in case a vet visit is necessary.

 

BEHAVIOR ISSUES

 

Please be sure to inform me of any behavior issues, such as destruction, food aggression, fence jumping, afraid of fireworks, anxiety, biting of humans or other animals or any type of aggression. This is important information the pet sitter needs to know to keep your pet and everyone safe.

 

DROP OFF PROCEDURES

 

You will not be charged for the day of drop off provided that drop off takes place after 5 PM. Before 5 PM a full day rate will be charged. You may arrange for your pet to be picked up and/or dropped off for an additional fee.

 

DELAYS IN PICK UP

 

Should your schedule vary or flight is delayed, please notify me immediately and I will do my best to accommodate any extra days. Please have a back up plan in place just in case I am unable to accommodate any additional days due to the scheduling of another pet, especially during the summer vacation season.

 

PAYMENT

 

A deposit of 50% is required at booking to hold the dates for your pets stay or drop in visits. Deposits are 100% refundable up to one (1) week prior to a scheduled visit. A $50.00 cancellation fee will be applied if cancelled with less than seven (7) days notice. Balance of pet sitting fees will be due at discharge or when you return home and key is returned.
